Preparation time: 10 minutes I Cook time: 6 hours I Yield: 2 cups
5 large apples [peeled, cored, cut into chunks]
2 Tbsp light brown sugar
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
1 Tbsp water
1/4 tsp cinnamon
3 inch long piece of lemon rind
Turn on crock pot to the 6 hour cook time. Add all the ingredients and do not stir for 1 hour. Stir occasionally throughout the six hours. Serve warm or chilled with an extra sprinkle of cinnamon on top.
