Happy Hump Day! I can’t help but think about the commercial with the camel every Wednesday. Probably because my coworkers belt out HUMP DAY every Wednesday in the camel’s voice. Anyways, I am back for another week of The Girl Between the Lines. hosted by A Beautiful Exchange & The Albrecht’s Blog. Unfortunately, I was out last week because of a lot going on in my life. I am back and ready to link-up with some other lovely lady bloggers!
This week’s prompt: What is the best advice you have ever gotten?
I find this question way too difficult to answer. One piece of advice? In our world, people give advice all day, everyday and it up to our own personal self to accept and use the words or not. I am a stubborn person and sometimes “pretend” to not take people’s advice. However, please note that I have completely internalized it and plan to follow it, but have a difficult time expressing myself. That being said, there are many things said that I take as advice and follow.
Since it is hard to pinpoint one particular instance where advice was given to me, I decided to go with one of my all-time favorite quotes that is a piece of advice. It is written by Dr. Seuss:
I have this quote up on my dresser and am reminded of it each day. Basically, be yourself and express yourself. I find this quote very fitting for the blogging world as well because we use our blogs as tools to express ourselves. Sure, people have given me positive feedback about my new blog, but I also have heard negative and rude feedback as well. I cast it aside, knowing I enjoy my little slice of the internet and the words of Dr. Seuss.
So my friends, be yourself, express yourself and know that those who mind don’t matter and those what matter don’t mind.
